Since the early 1970’s, New Beginnings Essex County has been providing a continuum of integrative services including residential, individual, family, specialized school programs, and outreach across service sectors of youth justice, mental health, employment and education. New Beginnings values every person as unique while promoting growth through individualized, flexible and collaborative programs and services.
Led by an engaged Board of Directors, New Beginnings Essex County prides itself on delivering inclusive programs and services through a team of 65 dedicated and compassionate staff working in two main locations and satellite offices throughout Windsor Essex. Staff and volunteers create opportunities for prevention and intervention through unique programs, community events, and initiatives designed to maximize potential. New Beginnings delivers services in partnership with a variety of services providers across sectors to provide timely, barrier-fee services.
The Board is looking for an outstanding individual who is a visionary organizational leader and strategic community partner with a passion for providing high quality services for children, youth and families. The Executive Director will inspire that same passion across the organization and be able to establish an organizational vision and implement it in a continuously changing environment. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors and working closely with committed management and dedicated staff, the Executive Director will demonstrate creativity and innovation and position the organization as a leader in the design and implementation of new programs and leading-edge practices and processes.
Candidates will have a minimum of five years senior management experience and proven leadership experience in the community-based not-for-profit sector. The candidate will hold a University Degree in the social service field or other related area of study preferably at the Master’s level and have a background in youth justice, mental health, addictions and related areas targeting high-risk youth and families. As a visionary and inspirational leader with excellent interpersonal skills and proficient team building skills, the Executive Director will promote a culture of collaboration, excellence and continuous improvement and demonstrate an understanding of working with high risk populations through multiple service sectors.
