Healing From Within is an expanding private practice dedicated to providing compassionate, client-centered mental health services. We are seeking full-time/part-time Counsellors/Therapists to join our growing team. Role Description

As a Counsellor/Therapist, you may work with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples to address mental health challenges, behavioral concerns, communication difficulties, family conflicts, and relationship dynamics. The role involves conducting assessments, providing therapy and counseling, and offering support services either in person or virtually.

We are particularly seeking at least one candidate who will work specifically with children. This position includes a partial caseload upon starting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough client assessments to inform treatment planning.
• Deliver effective therapeutic interventions using various modalities tailored to clients’ needs.
• Work with individuals, families, groups, and couples to address mental health, behavioral, and relationship challenges.
• Provide specialized support for children, ensuring their unique developmental and emotional needs are met.
• Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential client records.
• Participate in clinical meetings and supervision to ensure high-quality care.
• Manage a caseload effectively while prioritizing professional responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Registration: Must be a Registered Social Worker (OCSWSSW) or Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO) in good standing.
• Insurance: Possess valid Professional Liability Insurance in Ontario.
• Experience: Proven ability to work with diverse age groups and address a range of mental health concerns; experience with children is an asset.
• Availability: Willingness to work during late afternoons and evenings as required.
• Compliance: Adherence to all relevant guidelines and regulations, including the standards set by the OCSWSSW or CRPO, confidentiality guidelines under PHIPA (Personal Health Information Protection Act), HIPAA, and the policies and procedures of Healing From Within.
• Background Check: Must provide a clean vulnerable sector check.
• Technical Proficiency: Comfortable learning and using online health and wellness management software.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Professional Standing: No involvement in disciplinary actions or outstanding criminal charges.

Compensation:

• Independent contractors (ICs) receive a 70/30% split compensation based on Healing From Within’s established rates.
• ICs are responsible for all costs related to optional benefits, including:
  • Medical and dental coverage
  • Long-term disability (LTD) insurance
  • Pension plan
