Mental Health Therapist | Social Worker
Parry Sound Family Health Team (PSFHT)
Part-time, up to 21 hours
What You Bring:
- Credentials: Master's or Bachelor's in Social Work (OSW/OCSWSSW) or Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO)
- Experience: 3+ years in mental health and healthcare settings
- Clinical Skills: Expertise in individual, couple, and group therapy using evidence-based modalities; trauma-informed and culturally safe practices
- Knowledge Base: Familiarity with Mental Health Act, Healthcare Consent Act, Substitute Decisions Act, psychiatric disorders, and treatments
- Community Connection: A deep understanding of (or a desire to learn about) the unique needs and resources of our Parry Sound community
- Collaboration: Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
- Communication: Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
What You'll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and ongoing treatment planning
- Deliver effective psychotherapeutic interventions and monitor outcomes
- Connect patients with vital community resources and support systems
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of PSFHT programs
- Design and deliver engaging psychoeducation sessions
- Collaborate with our Memory Clinic team to provide family/care partner assessments
