Mental Health Counsellor

Full-time (Part-time interest may be considered)

Experience providing brief /short-term counselling to assist in the treatment of an array of youth and adult mental health and psychosocial problems including, but not limited to: trauma, distress, crisis and suicide risk assessment, depression, anxiety, family or parent/child issues, adjustment problems, bereavement and loss, eating disorders.

Extensive mental health clinical training, generally acquired through completion of post graduate studies and 5 years or more of service delivery in a mental health facility/team or related program with access to training and regular supervision/peer mentoring.

Experience working with adolescents and young adults.

Registered with one of the following regulatory colleges: Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers; College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario; College of Registered Nurses of Ontario; College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
