Mental Health Lead

Reporting to the Superintendent responsible for Student Services, the Mental Health Lead will develop and implement the ALCDSB Mental Health and Addictions Strategy and one year annual action plan to create a board level system of care that focuses on mental health promotion, prevention and early intervention to support student mental health K-12. The Mental Health Lead will work with all levels of system stakeholders, including system portfolio leaders, school administrators and staff, students, parents, and community partners to fulfill the strategies’ goals. In addition to providing leadership within the board and community in the area of school mental health, the Mental Health Lead will serve as a liaison with provincial mental health initiatives and will collect and analyze data, monitor and share our implementation progress and learning.  The Mental Health Lead will offer clinical expertise and provide strategic direction with the Superintendent to ensure mental health programs, resources and services are aligned with board strategic commitments and improvement plan and are responsive to local priorities and processes in support of student mental health.
