Regional Manager, Child Family Services
Looking for a meaningful position with the potential to have positive impacts in the lives of
Northwest Territories residents?
In your roll of Regional Manager, Child and Family Services, you will provide leadership,
direction, and professional expertise in the delivery of quality-based Child and Family Services.
In doing this, you will help ensure that all child and family services clients and families receive
equitable, efficient, appropriate, accessible, supportive, timely, and safe child and family
services.
Perched just north of Great Slave Lake, you will be located in Yellowknife where you will be
responsible for the overall daily management of Yellowknife Region – Child and Family Services,
an annual operating budget of $5.7M and a staffing group of 30+ direct and indirect reports.
To be successful in this role you typically need to complete a Bachelor's degree in social work,
and a minimum of five (5) years direct experience as a child and family services social worker,
combined with a minimum of two (2) years of direct experience supervising child and family
services programs.
Completion of a Master in Social Work and/or a Management Program would be an asset.
You will also need to meet the GNWT Professional Registered Social Worker Requirement, and
be eligible for appointment as a Child Protection Worker.
In addition to a competitive salary ($114K - $137K), there is a Northern Living Allowance
