Therapist - Ontario Structured Psychotherapy

Canadian Mental Health Association Muskoka Parry Sound is currently seeking a therapist for the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy North Simcoe Muskoka program. The program gives clients access to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through individual or group counselling sessions in person or via telemedicine.

Purpose of the Position: The purpose of this position is to provide cognitive behavioral therapy services to adults (18+) experiencing depressive and anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Education and Qualifications:
􀁸 Cognitive Behavioural Therapy training is preferred.
􀁸 Preference will be given for those with a Master's Degree
􀁸 Must be eligible to provide psychotherapy and in good standing with the respective college.
􀁸 Preference will be given to those with a minimum of 3 years of experience delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
􀁸 Demonstrated knowledge and experience of psychotherapeutic and assessment techniques.
􀁸 Demonstrated knowledge and experience of diagnostic categories and criteria as listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V)
􀁸 Excellent problem-solving abilities and flexibility.
􀁸 Ability to work autonomously as well as cooperatively within a team environment in a rural setting
􀁸 Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills
􀁸 Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, the Internet, and data management software
􀁸 A willingness to serve clients within the communities of the District of Muskoka and Parry Sound
􀁸 A valid Ontario G or G2 driver's license and a safe reliable means of transportation.
􀁸 Bilingual in French/English language considered an asset
􀁸 Work schedule may include days/evenings/weekends and statutory holidays.
Major Responsibilities:
􀁸 Conduct assessments (PHQ-9, GAD-7) to inform individualized treatment plans
􀁸 Provide individual evidence-based CBT treatment through structured protocols
􀁸 Facilitate group Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) utilizing evidence-based approaches
􀁸 Participate in clinical consultation, meetings and training arranged through Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care
􀁸 Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reports
􀁸 Collaborate with team members in provision of care and overall delivery of the OSP program
􀁸 Contribute to program development and program evaluation

Salary scale: $33.18 to $40.91 per hour commensurate with qualifications and experience
