ONE KIDS PLACE – Children’s Treatment Centre provides rehabilitation and related support services for children and youth (up to the age of 19) and their families living in the Districts of Muskoka, Nipissing and Parry Sound.  All staff will provide service within an interdisciplinary team environment committed to family-centered practice.

POSITION:                            Social Worker 1.0 FTE Permanent- Full Time

LOCATION:                          Nipissing Site

EFFECTIVE:                         ASAP

POSITION SUMMARY:       The Social Worker provides children, youth and families with counselling, support and consultation to maintain continuity of care and to maximize health and well-being.  The Social Worker will provide consultation to the interdisciplinary team and liaise with Community, District, Regional and Provincial services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Masters Degree in Social Work
• Current registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers/Social Service Workers
• Related work experience within the past 2 years in a pediatric/health care setting with children and youth with special needs
• Working knowledge of community resources and supports within the Districts Muskoka, Nipissing and Parry Sound
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills/Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Computer competency in word applications and Internet
• Bilingualism (English/French) is required
• Proof of COVID Vaccinations as required by the sector
