Community Services Manager
START DATE: Anticipated November 2021
HOURS: 40 hour non-structured work week, with participation in regular on-call rotation
SALARY: $74,401.60 annually, plus comprehensive benefits package
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Community Services Manager provides effective leadership and management in the development, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of agency programming across six counties. The Community Services Manager ensures all programs support the goals and objectives of the agency and align with its mission, vision, values, and principles.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Counselling / Psychology. MSW or equivalent. The successful candidate must be currently registered as a Social Worker in the province of Ontario.
REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate must be familiar with applicable Ontario and Canadian legislation, as well as having knowledge of theory and established practices of professional Social Work, and the Canadian Association of Social Workers ‘Code of Ethics’ and ‘Standards of Social Work Practice’.
Management and leadership experience in a clinical setting, preferably working with at-risk youth, as well as strong counselling and clinical skills with children and adolescents is essential. The candidate will have the ability to develop and implement and evaluate therapeutic programs for children and adolescents, and be able to work within a multi-disciplinary team model. They will have a strong aptitude for problem solving, combined with excellent analytical ability, and using excellent oral and written communication and exceptional interpersonal skills they will have the ability to build strong, trusting relationships, both with staff and external resources. A demonstrated high level of accountability and sensitivity for confidential information is essential for this position. Opportunities for remote work to be discussed.
The Community Services Manager must be able to support the urgent needs of community/residential services during off hours through participation in a rotational on-call schedule. This position also requires a clear CPIC-VSS, valid class G Driver’s License and immunization to national standards, including proof of a Two-step TB test.
