Director of Field Education

Applications are invited by Redeemer University for a tenure-track faculty position as Director of Field Education in the Applied Social Sciences Department to begin August 2021. The Director will primarily be responsible for managing the Applied Social Sciences field education program. This includes mentoring and supervising student interns as well as field supervisors, teaching integrative seminar courses, and collaborating with community agencies. The Director will also have teaching and research responsibilities. Candidates must be aligned with and passionate about Redeemer’s Christian mission of integrating faith in teaching and research. Candidates must possess expertise in administration, coordinating and/or working with student interns and field supervisors, and establishing community partnerships. The preferred candidate would possess an M.S.W., 7-10 years of relevant experience in social work or a related area, evidence of teaching ability, and eligibility for registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers; a Ph.D. in a related field is an asset but not required.
