Crisis Intervention Worker

• Masters degree in Social Work and/or Masters degree in Nursing or a Master's degree in Counseling/Psychology with a combination of relevant experience in Mental Health and Addictions

• Registration with the appropriate professional college

• Minimum of 3 years recent, related experience in Crisis Intervention in the fields of Mental Health and Addictions 

• Demonstrated knowledge and implementation of Best Practice guidelines in Crisis Intervention and Crisis theory

• Excellent assessment and counseling skills

• Demonstrated ability to work with and advocate for individuals with severe and persistent Mental Illness.

• Demonstrated ability to develop care plans for those in crisis

• Demonstrated ability to develop and foster community linkages and resources

• Demonstrated commitment to providing quality customer service in dealing with the public (patients and families) as well as various clinical professionals

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team

• Self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision

• Proficiency in computer skills mandatory 

• Excellent attendance record
