JOB SUMMARY: The Manager of Services has responsibility for managing the effective development, implementation, and operation of Ogwadeni:deo’s service programs within the agency’s mandate, policies and procedures.

 

The Manager of Services will be responsible for ensuring that child protection services are delivered in accordance with the Child Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA), Ontario Child Protection Standards and Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS), Eligibility Spectrum to assess and determine eligibility for service  and Child in Care Standards, as well as the framework, policies, procedures, vision, mission and values of Ogwadeni:deo.  The Manager of Services will be responsible for managing client complaints in compliance with the complaint review process as outlined in the Ogwadeni:deo Policies and Procedures and the Child Youth Family Services Act (CYFSA) and also within the policies and procedures established by Six Nations of the Grand River.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have an Master of Social Worker (MSW) Degree from a recognized school of Social Work and and must have a minimum of 3 years of current work-related managerial experience in Child Welfare Services (Child Protection)

• OR
• Must have a Bachelor of Social Worker (BSW) Degree from a recognized school of Social Work and working towards an MSW and demonstrated proof of credentials and must have a minimum of 5 years of current work-related managerial experience in Child Welfare Services (Child Protection) and willing to work towards a Master of Social Worker (MSW) degree
• And a willingness to work towards a MSW
• Must be in good standing as a registered member with the College of Registered Social Workers and Social Service Workers• Must have a valid Ontario class “G” driver’s license
• Required to be the principal driver of a vehicle for use on Pre-Designation/Designation business

• Must submit a favourable criminal reference check and vulnerable sector screening

• Must be willing to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends, on call

• Will be Ogweho:weh in preference to other applicants
