Opportunity

We are looking for an energetic clinical leader who is passionate about helping others, motivated to grow personally, and excited about new ways to improve client care. The candidate will work directly with the Founder & CEO and manage a small but growing team. You will have the opportunity to help shape the direction of our services and grow our impact.

Responsibilities

● Leadership of Layla’s client service team which is responsible for client intake and coordination with our therapists. Creating a high-performing, accountable, and rewarding environment filled with compassion for our clients and a desire to make a difference;

● Interview and evaluate new therapists to join our community;

● Maintain engagement with Layla’s partner therapists. Develop and execute effective engagement strategies;

● Accountability for internal initiatives to improve the quality of our services and processes;

● Ownership of Layla’s program policies (e.g. quality control, risk prevention, and crisis management);

● Represent Layla in the broader community from time-to-time (events, conferences, external meetings);

● Other functions as may be necessary in a startup

 

Requirements

● You are passionate about making a positive change and improving people’s wellbeing. You share our belief that business can be a force for good. You are genuinely interested in startups and innovation;

● You have a positive can-do attitude, enjoy running multiple projects simultaneously, and have a willingness to pitch in on multiple aspects of the overall venture. You embrace the uncertainty, challenges, and opportunities;

● You naturally break complicated operational problems down and are solution-focused;

● You hold an MSW from a reputable institution, registered in good standing with the OCSWSSW. Other relevant Master’s or PhD level applicants may be considered;

● 3+ years of postgraduate work experience in a hospital, community organization, or private practice; Previous experience managing a team and/or a program preferred;

● Understanding of mental health, evidence-based practice, and appreciation for what drives success in therapy;

● Aligned with Layla’s values of facilitating client-centered, high quality care;

● Computer skills (Word, Powerpoint, Google Sheets) and highly comfortable with technology;

● Schedule flexibility to accommodate business needs within reason
 

Location

Our office is Yonge & Dundas in downtown Toronto. Some travel required to meet therapists and other partners.
