Clinicians - Full-time/part-time

The Counselling Centre of East Algoma is a multi program community based counselling agency serving East Algoma from our main office in Elliot Lake and our satellite office in Blind River.  We provide counselling and treatment in the areas of substance abuse, woman abuse, partner assault response, sexual assault (female and male specific), general counselling and crisis services.

 

We are looking to expand our clinical team with openings for full time permanent, contract and part time Clinicians.

                                                      

 We are seeking self motivated, experienced clinicians (or new grads with a desire to learn and grow) with the following qualifications:

 

  • MSW/BSW or equivalent
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario
  • Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of issues of trauma, sexual abuse, violence against women, concurrent disorders and a variety of mental health symptoms
  • Ability to assess client needs and develop treatment plans based on best practices
  • Strong skills in public speaking, public education and networking
  • Ability to advocate for clients in a number of settings and work collaboratively with other agencies and/or services
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of presenting symptoms/issues
  • Dedicated team player with a commitment to clients and the community
  • Salary range $55, 169 – 66,534
