We are looking for you to join a team of professionals that use a collaborative and creative approach to engage with children and families. Your role is to ensure the safety of children/youth and connect with relevant community resources/organizations to promote permanency, enhance parental capacity, family functioning and wellness.

- Demonstrated Relationship Building skills - GOA Caseworkers are able to establish, sustain and foster constructive working relationships, focused on achieving positive CI outcomes, with children, families, communities and their work team.

Preferred Education: A Master or Bachelor of Social Work with at least six months' of directly related experience.
Preferred Experience: Conducting assessments, advocating, case planning and management to support vulnerable children and families.
The following experience would be considered an asset:
- Experience and knowledge working with Indigenous cultures
- Experience working within a socially inclusive environment
- Experience working in a child intervention setting
- Experience working with community resources
The following equivalencies may also be considered: a related university degree with two years of related experience; or a related diploma plus three years of related experience.
The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the Child, Youth, and Family Enhancement Act; possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong critical thinking skills.

As per the Health Professions Act, successful applicants who: (a) have a degree in social work from any university in North America that is accredited by the Canadian Association for Social Work Education (CASWE) or the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE); or (b) have graduated from an approved social work diploma program in Alberta; or (c) have, within the last five years, been a registered, certified or licensed social worker in another province or with a member of the Association of Social Work Boards must be registered with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW) to be eligible for this position.
