Position:

 

The Executive Director (E.D.) is responsible for the successful management of the organization according to the strategic directions set by the Board of Directors, and for the delivery of effective programs and services that support the Centre’s mission and vision.

Key responsibilities:

The E.D. is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the organization, including the planning and management of operations, programs, human resources, finances, community relations and risk management. In addition, the E.D. shares the clinical and administrative supervision, provides timely support to the Board of Directors and ensures that the Centre meets its legal and ethical obligations

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or equivalent;

  • Registration or eligibility to register with relevant professional college in Ontario;

  • Five years of progressive managerial experience in the mental health field;

  • Ability to establish harmonious relationships with different stakeholders;

  • Flexibility, integrity and strong ethics;

  • Organizational, problem-solving and financial management skills;

  • Previous experience in a unionized environment;

  • Bilingualism (English and French at advanced plus level- oral and written skills);

  • Driver’s license and use of own vehicle;

  • Police Vulnerable Sector Check.

     

    The ideal candidate will have knowledge of relevant legislations and will have experience in project management, strategic planning and working with a Board of Directors.
